Zijerveld is a comprehensive provider of cheese and related products, and we are present throughout the entire supply chain. From product to logistical services, we strive for added value. One of our specialties is cheese aging, where the cheese is treated with a protective cheese coating.

A well-known and persistent problem in cleaning machines is the removal of cheese coating quickly and easily from the treated machines.

At the beginning of 2019, we were made aware of a miracle solution, ‘RSS Ceramic coating,’ which ensures that machine parts are easy to clean simply because the cheese coating cannot adhere to the material. Zijerveld knows that practice can be very stubborn. So, we had a stainless steel panel thoroughly cleaned and made available for a test: 1/3 of the panel was coated with RSS Ceramic, 1/3 was untreated, and 1/3 was coated with RSS PermaPro.

We are now a year further. Indeed, in the area coated with RSS Ceramic, you can peel off the layers with your bare hands. We had never experienced that the layers could be peeled off before. On the other side (treated with RSS PermaPro), it is still stuck and requires a lot of hot water and time to remove, just like the untreated sections.
