Introduced in 2023 via LinkedIn, our interest was particularly piqued by the solutions for replacing Teflon. They provide the material with a ceramic coating instead of Teflon.

We invited Sabine for an on-site meeting, and during the tour, several applications were discussed, including keeping materials such as stainless steel cabinets and conveyor belts clean.

We started with a test of a conveyor belt in a humid environment (bulb cabinet). This belt quickly became dirty, required intensive cleaning, and was replaced every year. Due to this result, we have since had another belt coated as well.

This coated belt has now been in use for about 1 year, gets minimally dirty, and is easy to clean, so the additional costs for the coating are quickly recovered.

We are now moving to the next phase, which is coating the hoppers with this material instead of Teflon. This does not happen very often, so we will wait until it is time.
